Given that a separate entry for the TV movie version of the series doesn't exist on IMDb, I'm adding my review for that here. THE BUND is a sprawling, GODFATHER-style story of crime and punishment in early 20th century China and Hong Kong, notable for featuring Chow Yun-Fat in a youthful, star-making performance. Sadly, the condensed TV movie feels rather choppy and incoherent at times, cutting way too much out of the series to leave anything of depth. Still, it does look promising, with plenty of double crosses and violent action to see it through.
