And it's not just our main character who has to fight with those, but also the viewer. I don't think anyone missunderstands what this is about or finds it completely uninteresting. For some it might be tough to watch though. If you have a main character with flaws like that, the connection might be lost (not just in translation).
But it's what makes this thriller/psyhological drama interesting. It does give us interconnecting stories. While at first we can only guess, it becomes clearer as time goes by what this is all about. Of course that has to do with the main character explaining it to us. Wicked/good idea, that could have done with a few more highlights, but overall more than a decent attempt and "thrilling" enough
