Since I got into the film industry a year ago, I have watched a lot of movies. I especially enjoy finding and unheralded gem, which this film is. I started out disliking the lead character, a self-pitying, loser, alcoholic with no hope for redemption. It was great how the film brought me around, slowly, to actually like this character. The story is interesting and does not reveal where it is going. This may be why some reviews give it a low score. The characters are well done and multi-dimensional. I really liked this film and think that people who liked Arlington Road, LA Confidential and the Usual Suspects will really enjoy it.
