BATS: HUMAN HARVEST is a belated TV movie sequel to the first film, unconnected apart from premise and made by the Sci-Fi Channel in Bulgaria. It's largely a routine B-movie that's easy to dismiss, featuring a squad of goonish soldiers getting taken down by both Afghan terrorists and random CGI bat attacks. There's some blood and prosthetic effects work, but the whole thing is so ordinary that you'll remember little about it afterwards. The only good thing is the presence of Pollyanna McIntosh as a Russian scientist; she's gone on to much better things, so it's nice to find out where she started out.
