I'm surprised I watched the entire thing truthfully. The characters had to be the dumbest bag of bricks one could buy at the lumber store. Their decisions were always irrational, illogical, and utterly nonsensical. The protagonist by the end of the movie was driving me just about insane.
The movie truly had potential. The mutants are definitely scary to say the least. Their movements and sounds definitely kept me wanting to watch, but the fact the virus is never explained, it just suddenly appears and attacks some man's family while on vacation... Three stars automatically for me getting through the movie, and extra for the mutants. All in all, I would avoid this movie.
