Fugget About It (2012–2021)

Watchable to a point
10 February 2019
This show is like pasta. On its own kind of bland but it doesn't leave any bad tastes in your mouth. I like the premise even if the Canadian Jingoism annoys me. (I'm not an American but that doesn't mean I am OK with wanton America bashing).

It's funny how a Canadian show needs to have American characters to be interesting. The whole thing is kind of formulaic, the characters are very familiar (the son is basically Lisa Simpson and the older daughter is just another vapid hot girl and the mother is another long suffering housewife). I liked the younger daughter but she is basically a female Stewie Griffin with an Italian American flavor.

There is a ...filthiness...surrounding the show. A feeling of people in quiet desperation that is hard to laugh at.

The stories weren't amazing but they were watchable for a week day but eventually I just found better stuff to watch.

The best part of the show was always at the beginning where they show you a flash back to the process of how they went into witness protection. This little non-linear saga in bite size pieces is actually cool.

I wouldn't explicitly recommend it but it doesn't suck.
