This movie was a DISASTER!!
I've watched Krish moves before and loved how he can transfer emotions - Vedam, Gamyam are two solid examples
But with Manikarnika - first half was like a bunch of remotely related stories / scenes patched together to make some sense
I was about to leave after the first half, but my sister wanted to continue watching
Second half only gets worse. When Kangana tries to inspire women to join her army, she Bart delivers two lines of dialogues and scores of women begin chanting "har har mahadev". That's not how it's done! Remember the Chak De locker room speech by SRK?
Same disappointing show when Kangana goes to Gwalior to strip him off his kingdom. She barely says 15-18 words and the king agrees to abandon his kingdom and leave! Seriously!!??
They tried hard to portray Kangana as a valorous princess like Jhansi Laxmi Bai - but that emotion NEVER comes across
All in all - I'm giving it 2 stars because I like Krish and don't see any other reason for this movie to receive any better reviews
