Stonehenge Apocalypse (2010 TV Movie)
5/10
So bad, it's actually good fun.

Warning: Spoilers
As B movies go, although unintended is a comedy gem, filled with stereotypes and inaccuracy. Collins, Wingfield and Higginson do their best to carry it along, The sheer lack of research into the location lets the movie down, placing one of the most recognisable monuments in the world in a hilly forested area, the complete opposite of where you'll actually find it, in all movies you expect a bit of artistic licence but this example is hilarious, along with the obviously Canadian road markings and signage. Major (wearing the rank of Captain for some reason) Peatman's accent is a comedy highlight, sounding like a Dick Van Dyke cockney crossed with Scotsman and Crocodile Dundee, even the stereotypical US General who predictably wants to nuke the whole of Salisbury is quite funny and ends up ordering directive 10/15 which is actually something to do with affordable housing in the US. I know defence cuts in the UK are pretty harsh but I'm sure the army could rustle up more than one tank, one truck and three other vehicles, most being either ancient or non-British, best summed up in the final chase scene which sees an ancient American jeep being chased across Salisbury plain by a French Peugeot open top thing. I can only guess that the majority of the budget went on administration as there was very little left for the movie. However I do have a soft spot for this movie, so much so that I have the DVD, watch it if you need a giggle.
