A giant surprise! I never would've thought this would work for me this much, but it totally does.
Sure, there are a few flaws and it is too simplistic at times, but all in all it is so adorable and hits the right notes.
Also, all of the performances are pretty great at most of the time, and the pacing is just right. It also is fairly surprising at moments and absolutely well written and hilarious, even heartbreaking as well. If you like coming-of-age flicks, I think this is for you.
This movie even got me a bit teary-eyed, I'll admit it. One of the best German films of recent memory, which isn't hard I know, but please do give it a shot. It's kinda lovely.
