This Virginian episode casts a very pregnant Darleen Carr and Frank Webb as a
young couple working a small farm for a few months and making friends. That
ends when John Pickard rides into to Medicine Bow accusing him of stealing
$8000.00. That's when we find out Webb is a fugitive and he runs again leaving
Carr expecting.
A miracle for them happens when Tim Matheson rides in checking on the place (neighbors did that back in the day) and finds Carr in labor. He helps her deliver a fine baby boy and after that stops in every so often to do the chores and look after her.
The script is purposely vague on whether this could lead to some kind of romance. You figure it out for yourself. Anyway The Virginian himself says take care of things as long as you remember it's Shiloh who pays you.
Matheson and Carr make a nice couple, what could have been.
