Lucy was Never Very Good in the Movies
14 April 2019
Another rich girl movie, but this time the rich girl breaks out in song (with a dubbed in voice). Hearing Lucille Ball open her mouth and have Ann Miller singing is quite startling, but they never expected what would happen back in 1940.

Lucy was never much good in movies, and this Latin-flavored film (stereotypes fly fast and furious in this one) is no exception.

The plot stinks and she isn't given anything to work with. The music, as usual, is regrettable, and you'll be happy you missed this dud.
