The quality of the story is on par with a below average Korean TV drama desperately trying to create an emotional rollercoaster for the viewers without any consideration of a realistic plot. Being familiar with Korean culture and the language, I'm also aware of the shortcomings of their legal system. This portrayal, however, is shocking. Could it really be that bad? The blatant dramatization doesn't help me sympathize with the characters, nor does it make me concerned for what'll happen to the protagonists. It's just one unreasonable scene after another. The high rating of this movie is a head scratcher for me.
