Low budget. Not so noticeable during character interactions, but especially so through the fight scenes. I am hoping in the future they hire a proper sword-choreographer because at the moment the 'action' scenes are the main downfall. Also hoping some supporters may help fund it to make it a little more polished.
By the end of the series 1 though, cast is starting to warm to their characters. They are interesting enough, and the plot moves along as a decent pace.
This is definitely one of those shows that you don't judge by the first episode.
