Impersonating a federal agent
30 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
First, CID agents don't introduce themselves with their rank while conducting investigative activity; they introduce themselves with their title of "Special Agent" (AR 195-2). If she was demoted to MP and was still working cases, she would be an MPI and should've introduced herself as an investigator. As it is, she's impersonating a federal agent, claiming that she's CID and showing her badge when she's no longer CID.

Second, her badge was garbage. The actual CID badge says "Department of the Army," not "Department of Justice." The crest in the center was not that of the Army, and the eagle looked like a kid drew it.

Third, where is the Army nexus? If the subject is not in a Title 10 status, the incident would've been referred to the appropriate law enforcement agency or a joint/collateral investigation would've been initiated. And definitely not along the side of the road at gunpoint.

Posse Comitatus Act?

Fifth, if she was a real Soldier and got shot, she'd get that documented immediately for her VA disability.

Oh. And the motorcycle. No helmet, nothing reflective, and no cover while outside. And tuck the boot laces.
