Scarface (1932) is a gangster film about a mans rise to the top of the mob right from the bottom. As Tony starts to become richer and more powerful, he slowly loses his mind and becomes more unhinged as he turns on the people who were there for him from the beginning. The action sequences in this were rather good for the 1930's. I have seen and enjoyed Al Pacino's famous remake of Scarface, and it was great to see all of the little nods and connections and be able to understand them more than before.
