That's entertainment all right, but the narrative has a lot to be desired.

Warning: Spoilers
Some of Abbott and Costello's comedy routines seem truly awkward outside of the films they come from, even though many of their routines are the epitome of classic vaudeville. Those types of routines speak for themselves and don't require the obnoxious narration of Jack E. Leonard whose voice really grates on the nerve. Having seen him hamming it up more than Miss Piggy in the Warner Brothers musical "Three Sailors and a Girl" (where his declaration of "I'm adorable!" made me cringe), I was prepared for that, and outside of the clips, he's the major reason NOT to watch this montage.

It's not a biography or even a movie history, just a slap dash affair of clips that probably turned some people off from watching the film's. Familiar character actors Margaret Dumont, Margaret Hamilton and Marjorie Main add amusement, but the film's are all much better when you are aware of the plot and not just the constant screaming of the two comics who were so much more than just that.
