Instant African Classic Film
25 December 2019
Lyrical, beautifully filmed, Running Against The Wind captures the heart and satisfies the call for uplifting stories about Africa. Auteur-Director Jan Phillip Weyl's debut feature is an instant classic. Two boys from a poverty-stricken village with no prospects are drawn to the big city, where one succumbs to the easy attraction of street life and a destructive lifestyle; the other rises to the top to become an Olympic runner. Against all odds, the find each other. But is it too late?
