Rohrig's dynamic portrayal is a master class; his command of the screen matched by the melancholy beauty of his surroundings, the finely wrought script, and the clarity, warmth, depth and subtlety of the direction. This gripping film turns one person's extreme experience into everyone's journey: it leaves you both elevated and illuminated, and that, and the humanity and bravery, stay with you. One to be grateful for.
