Warning: Spoilers
I always hope for big things from HMM because the Christmas movies there are supposed to be more heartwarming. This movie belonged on the regular Hallmark channel. It is a basic romance, and there is nothing special about except maybe the lead actors. I didn't say it is bad, just nothing special.

I agree with the review that the chemistry between the leads doesn't burn down any chem labs. There is a mystery as to why they broke up and when we get to what it is my reaction is So What. I never really did get why Lucy had a sudden personality change supposedly the last three months before she left. It's implied that maybe that's because she was pleasing Aunt Audrey, but I don't think that was covered very well.

I also agree that I would like to see more of Ashley Greene in future Hallmark movies. I have mentioned elsewhere that Hallmark's go-to stars are getting up in age past the point where they can play young love hoping to start a family. I'm glad to see several younger ladies this year, although they still don't seem willing to dip into twentysomething for a lead.

As mentioned, the story just doesn't grab me. It's pleasant enough. The premise isn't horribly overused and has some different angles, but it also relies on a lot of well-used subplots. There isn't a huge amount of tension or conflict and I thought what conflict existed was overplayed.

Huge boos and hisses at Brad. I understand how it felt, and the timing was necessary for the story and Lucy is OK with it, but what he does is ridiculous. Lucy is adrift mentally and emotionally and his lack of patience definitely puts him on my naughty list.
