Though I'm not as enlightened as others may be, I found this film wonderfully informative. I appreciated the emphasis on sound and visual editors, and the manner in which this was shot and edited fairly transported me there. I felt as though I were in the room with Ken Russell and Delerue themselves. The use of still photographs in place of footage seemed quite understandable to me, if nothing else - in the realm of licensing fees. For being made in the mid-90s, clocking in at only an hour, and filled with as much as it is - this Doc certainly achieves it's goal of impressing the viewer with the importance and intricacies of the film composer's art.
