Review of Married... with Children

I recently bought the DVD set to 'relive' the old series. I had forgot how the last 6 seasons meandered meaninglessly. Seasons 1-5 were great. Then we got to Season 6 where they wrote in Katey Sagal's pregnancy as a 3rd Bundy on the way. It ruined the season. Then they wrote in a child that relatives dropped off for Season 7. That child was gone by Season 8 and replaced by Peggy being absent from the show more often. And, of course more fat jokes about Peggy's mother which never really led to any character development in my opinion. There were glimmers of the greatness we had come to expect from Seasons 1-5 in later seasons with Bud and Kelly getting jobs. But, they were few and far between. And, there was the N.O. M.A.A.M. thing that Al started which always seemed kind of lame to me. Want to have a Great Married With Children viewing experience? Stick with Seasons 1-5.
