"My Baby Is Gone!" is a predictable "thriller" with a diabolical creature who conceives a plan for baby snatching.
Kelly lost her own baby, as well as her uterus, and blamed it all on Emily, whose miscarriage apparently distracted the medical staff from her own case during her hospital stay. Now, Kelly has conceived the perfect crime to move into the neighborhood of Peter and Emily, cozy up to them, plan to deliver Kelly's baby in the middle of a forest, then kill and bury Emily.
It was most unconvincing that Kelly could drive a wedge between Emily and her bestie, Susan, as well as to separate Emily from her doting husband Peter. The film became comical in the places with Kelly's bloated belly was clearly fake to the audience, yet not to the characters. Kelly and Emily claimed to be "belly buddies." But neither pregnancy looked realistic.
The most unconvincing scene of all was the speedy birthing of little Julian, wherein Emily gives a single, effortless push, and out pops Julian! At least, the filmmakers showed a modicum of integrity by not claiming that this far-fetched potboiler was based on a true story!!!
