Un ange (2001)
7/10
Saved by the aesthetics

That's one of the most stupid crime film movie ever made if you consider the story only. The improbable romance between Elsa Zylberstein, a kind of Isabelle Adjani clone when she was younger, and an unconvincing Richard Berry, and the idiot baby intrigue could make you laugh, and I don't think that was the purpose of this very serious crime flick. However, Nicolas Silberg as the rotten superintendant, and Pascal Gregory are awesome, and even the supporting characters, the sidekicks are better than the leads. But the best of the best for this overlong movie, is the aesthetics, the photography and the shots, angles and the final gunfight is worth watching, in the line of STATE OF GRACE, or even Sam Peckinpah's style, if you see what I mean. For the rest, that's at your own risk.
