Review of Port of Shadows

So fans of movies consider port of shadows to be a masterpiece in storytelling and romantic noir plot,but to me except one great performance and a more depressing story didnt satisfayed me on such level as did others,for that time port of shadows may be original and ground breaking in that genre and filmmaking but today after so much similiar films on same stracture this one doesnt stands up so much above the rest,sure french are great at making romance work and their way of telling story and showing relationship was great,but to me even if this was one very good film it didnt impressed me on such big level
