Oscar bait is tolerable but please do make films with reasonable scripts before venturing into the territory. Ordinary Love has good performances from both the lead actors especially from Lesley Manville but unfortunately it isn't enough to make it a great movie. A middle aged couple fight, grieve, share a happy moment, reconcile and in between we have a subplot about their late daughter's teacher. That's pretty much what Ordinary Love is about.
