Yes as a kid I loved jcvd but I got older, understood films need more of a storyline, character depth and actual actors (not just stuntmen forced in to scenes).
So I wasn't expecting a lot from this prime series. Maybe that's what makes this so enjoyable. A fun romp with JC poking excellent fun at himself.
