No Good Nick (2019)
6/10
what do we learn from the main character?
14 May 2020
Okay, at first i was expecting a plot that will put me on the edge in a good way. But after watching the first few episodes, I realized that the writers were trying to present Nick as a likable character who was very good at coning the family that took her in as a child of their own. That for me started to feel uncomfortable; the thought that a teenager can behave in such a manner and it is glorified as comedy just doesn't work for me. An adult, maybe. But It would have been better if it was a family drama, and then more intensity can be put into the actions of all the character. You really wonder what the writers are trying to achieve by that story line. One of the great essence of a comedy show is to bring comic relief. There is no comic relief trying to find out what if she gets caught episode by episode.
