This movie had a good premise but never at all found its footing having lost its way early on and just staggers around without direction nor identity.
It has no idea what it wants to grow up to be: A comedy? A dark comedy? Slap-stick? Drama? Political satire? A biography? Boy growing up? Statement on human foibles? Thriller? What???
In the end it goes nowhere. Some nice parts, some meaningless, some senseless, mixed with stretches of neither here nor there ... just an awkward near mess.
