When in the name of the lunacy that was the cold war a father - albeit a puppet one - could turn his 9-year-old son into a thief and a murderer and not bat an eyelid. The creators obviously realised too late the awkward implications of their plot, and very clumsily tried to have their cake and eat it at the end.
Having said that, the supermarionation really is very well done. Pity they didn't have the scriptwriting abilities to match it.
