Harrison Ford Falsely Accused Again?!?
4 June 2020
Surely, Harrison Ford can't be falsely accused again? After running all over creation as Dr. Kimble ("The Fugitive") trying to prove his innocence, you mean to tell me another paramour of his is dead and he's the main suspect? Harrison, you have to start dating less killable women.

In "Presumed Innocent" Harrison Ford plays a Chief Deputy D.A. named Rusty Sabich. He was assigned the case of the murder of a coworker that he just so happened to have been intimate with and he just so happens to be infatuated with. Oh, did I mention that he's married?

The investigation turns sour when all evidence points towards him as the main suspect. He swears he didn't kill his coworker/lover Carolyn Polhemus (Greta Scacchi). But if he didn't, who did?

The movie goes into "Law & Order" mode, which I love. Raul Julia was smooth as silk as Sandy Stern, Rusty's attorney. At no point were we ever really sure if Rusty was being truthful or not, we could only ride out the trial and be witness to good lawyering. Naturally, we want to believe him because he's the good guy, but is this going to be one of those movies that fools you "Usual Suspect," "Primal Fear," or "Jagged Edge" style? It's worth finding out.
