I can't confirm Rush's portrayal is accurate but I'll defer to his professionalism and personal research. I have read a bio on Giacometti and this film touches on some moments that really stuck in my mind from the book so they were great to see on the screen. The art direction is superb. The reproduction of Giacometti's studio and work in progress spot on. It's a good story well told. I think Sylvie Testud as Annette Giacometti really stole every scene she's in. Rush came off as a bit of caricature at times but still enjoyable.
