I respect Jackie Chan a lot for his skills and original style but at the same time I have to admit that I find many of his films a bit boring. Worst thing is sometimes when the packaging promises an action packed martial arts film but then it turns out to be more about comedy. Dragon Lord is one of those cases. I assume certain kind of people will find this kind of slapsticky comedy a lot of fun but I just can't get into it. There were a couple of cool moments (for example Jackie dodging spears that come through the rooftop) but overall I didn't find the story very interesting, and the focus on too much silly comedy was not my cup of tea. I prefer Jackie's late 80's-early90's period best, with Police Story and such But if you're a fan of his early career especially, then you probably better see this one too.
