Interesting, informative but poor quality of images.

I watch a lot of documentaries, about various subjects, and in this case it was interesting to understand how unions worked at that time, but the quality of the images wasn't great (which makes sense because it's from 1976). If we have what we have now, a better pay, holidays, insurance and other things, it's because of what our ancesters fought for so we should never forget that. In Harlan County USA we get to see how hard life was back then, but you can also see similarities with how everything still works now, and that is as much profit possible for the rich and peanuts for the poor. It didn't change and it probably never will. The whole capitalist system benefits only a few in this world, the rest of us are just rats feeding the system. The documentary doesn't look much like our modern documentaries now, the images aren't that professional but it's watchable. It's interesting nonetheless, revolting for sure when you see how they treated people back then. I've given up on fitting in the system since a long time, I honestly prefer dying than losing my total freedom again. One thing has evolved since then though, people got better looking because in this documentary I only saw ugly people and it wasn't because of the mining dust.
