Honeymoon for One (2011 TV Movie)
7/10
Surprisingly watchable

If you've read my reviews, you've seen that one of my first lines of criticism for this type of Rom/com is overused cliché plot devices. This movie may have a couple (OK the leads start off with the obligatory antagonism), but I didn't notice because many of the plot devices are different, even unique. I can't think of a honeymoon-for-one story. There are some interesting developments later in the movie also. The story kept moving just enough to hold me.

I'm not a fan of Nicollette Sheridan, and her character early on was such I had doubts I was going to like Eve at any point. But of course, at some point the arrogant rich boss persona softened. Her meeting Kathleen, Katie Bannon (interesting that IMDb has no information on her other than this movie), was a good start, and their relationship did a lot for the movie. I'm guessing that her accent isn't fake and she certainly is a charming representation of an Irish pre-teen.

Did Sheridan and Greg Wise have chemistry? I really didn't see much.

There were a few laughs here and there, many of which inspired by Eve's clumsiness.

The music was slightly distracting, but I didn't have trouble hearing conversation. The music doesn't affect my rating.
