In my opinion Jackie's early films often lean too much on slapstick comedy, but in some later ones he got the things in balance. Legend of Drunken Master is such a case. It does have a lot of comedy but it also has an interesting story and the fight scenes have a bit more punch and the enemies seem a bit more menacing. The fight choreography is of course amazing, and I think Jackie had perfected his style at this point of his career.
If you want a good martial arts action-comedy then this is a good choice. Also a good place to start if you've never seen a Jackie Chan film. (Even though this is a sequel in a way, it's practically its own movie, and I don't think the first Drunken Master is as good as this one.)
