Captive enough to hook you
17 January 2021
The dirt thrown on politics is bit too much. Saif has adapted well on the web series roles which he started with sacred games. Keeping aside few controversial topics like hurting sentiments of certain community the twists and turns in season 1 makes you hooked to make you binge watch the whole season, It's really not nail biting though, which probably the makers wanted. I'm the beginning only, a specific serious pace/tone is setup and it continues till the end. Sunil Grover's role as Gurpal, right hand of Samar(Saif), is quite interesting and serious , however honestly it's really difficult to shed his image as a comedian, hence everytime he tries to speak in different accent, you will feel that he would crack a joke now. And he does laughs out loud couple of times. Good effort though. Others characters played by like Dimple Kapadia, Kritika Kamra, Dino, Gauhar, Zeeshan have been spot on and commendable. The show becomes little predictable and monotonous towards the end however, since the pace and tone remains the same throughout the season.

Overall a good effort to make a series based on politics, but since it's political so it have became controversial as well, as they have touched few sensitive topics.
