It's remake actually. But it's also NOT!!! It's not easy to adapt the jokes and characters for a completely opposite cultural background and that's what this sitcom does.
I'd say thst this is the BEST, India has copied from the West.
The actors do not appear in much of the other films/TVs and I can't understand why. That's the comic timing India is craving for along time.
Hope this gets a reunion or farewell episode in near future.
