Inconsistent writing leaves you with many questions in the ending
9 March 2021
The Girl on the Train is a 2021 Bollywood movie. It is based on a woman who had a personal tragedy and turns to alcohol to cope with it. Meanwhile, she is envious of a couple who, for her, is a dream-come-true. Trouble starts when she visits their house.

With a runtime of 2 hour the movie is hard to watch after the first 20 minutes. The writing is inconsistent and so is the script. There are times when nothing makes sense. The scene transition is also lack-luster. The protagonist reportedly has amnesia after her tragic accident but no light, at least sensibly, has been shed on it. Psychiatrists in the movie violate patient-doctor confidentiality. The police investigating a case also seem unmotivated.

Parineeti Chopra, Aditi Rao Hydari and Kirti Kulhari- all the three actresses were terribly wasted in this effort of a movie. It could have been better. They couldn't do justice to their role.

In conclusion, avoid this movie. I am a big fan of these 3 actresses and so watched the movie. Now i feel like i have wasted 2 hours.
