Still it has some heart. I think the big fail in this movie is the attempt at comedy. Back in the 80's just putting Burt Reynolds and Dom Deluise together meant it was funny. I find they play well off each other but it is dated comedy. Which is fine , but I have to be in a certain mood to watch that. Like watching Laurel and Hardy and thinking meh its been done.
This movie is really all about it's star power. It has a ton of high level stars from the time. There is not much in the way of action other than watching people race across country.
Can't say much more about this one. I don't think I would recommend it and I certainly won't be re-watching it down the road... get it. I am giving it a 6 because it does hold some nostalgic memories for me and I do like a lot of the stars in the movie but i think this one would rate a 4 or 5 for the average human that was born after the 80's.
