Visaaranai is a grim take on the corrupt police society and how a group of four innocent migrant laborers from Tamil Nadu were shown hell in a police station. It's a pure visualization of the oft ignored reality of today's world and at times will leave you squirming. The acting is top-notch and all the cast do not fail to impress. From braving the custodial torture to being free to again finding themselves in an unwelcome place at the wrong time, the viewers will be sighing for the protagonist as they realize the peril he is in.
This movie was in my watch-list for quite sometime and i don't know why i watched it so late. But i am glad that i finally got to watch it. This movie is a hidden gem and more people need to watch this! After the movie ended, it reminded of the father-son duo, from Tamil Nadu, who were killed during the starting days of the lock-down in 2020.
