...but pretty gritty, more in a psychological than visual way. It is captivating, the duo evolves well, the city is like a third character. You just want to see the next episode, then the next one, once you get the hang of it. But - it must be said - it ends with a thud. Maybe they thought they will get a next series, maybe they were trying to force a next series, maybe they just blew some steam due to finding out about the cancellation. Who knows. Anyways, short of the ending, it is a gripping, fast paced series, old style somehow in quality, but draped in a modern outfit.
