Not a great film but it was as stated in the title and had some interesting issues that it explored for example whether the decision to not hang Hirohito whether he was guilty or not saved many lives on both sides of the conflict.
The only issue I had with the film was why embroider it with a fictitious romance and why have the lead Bonner Fellers as a thirtysomething when he was in fact 49. It added nothing to the film at all.
Definitely a good watch.
