Review of Hvide Sande

Hvide Sande (2021)
5/10
Generic Hvide Sande

Warning: Spoilers
Hvide Sande prides itself a lot on passing in Hvide Sande, and also reminds the viewer of this on every given occasion. The series is the debut for A. Z Kazinski, who is a pseudonym for Danish crime writers Jacob Weinreich and Anders Rønnow Klarlund, and it can be felt as the series is very generic and without its own DNA.

The series does not manage to know the structure of the police, which makes the series reality-breaking, nor does it really respect the local community as it abuses the language and the gallery of characters.

One good thing that I want to highlight is that after all, they speak German in Germany.

Jimmy Oldenburg is a really good villain, who unfortunately is not exploited. However, he also does not really fit into the series' premise, which is a shame.

Generic series that I accept there has been a season of but do not want to see more.
