A buddy of mine recommended this film to me about 10 years ago. I was hesitant simply because I'd fallen out of love with action films at the time. I can't remember why (probably just burnout) but this film reinvigorated my love for the genre.
It's a shame this one didn't do better at the box office, but I'd like to think the cult status it garnered after its DVD release makes up for it. Unique and amazing cast, wonderfully pulpy story and an overall great action-drama affair.
