For people saying this is pretty good, I think they've managed to set the bar so low that anything would be good to them... because this is not pretty good by a long shot.
Watching this tonight, and the dubbing is pretty bad and feels like a high school play, but I can overlook that because they did their best with what they had I think.
It was not scary, but it had a few creative things, like a chain locking the gate with no luck, just an endless chain that makes no sense.
I love weird stuff like that.
Really bad characters. They tell them that someone's dead and the phones are gone and the response is this casual, what are you smoking?
That's really bad writing. It also shamelessly rips off Grave Encounters in at least 3 obvious ways... a lot of missed opportunities too... such as when (SPOILER) The guy is standing in the dark in the basement saying she;s right behind me and they shine the flash light and see nothing, but then switch to night vision and still see nothing... that would have been such a great moment to show her behind him and slow the tape and add some real atmosphere, but they don't, and they do nothing with this moment at all...
They really needed someone to look over and rewrite the script.
