This film struck me as weird and quite unlike any other Scandinavian film I have seen.
I didn't understand the hidden significance of some scenes and images. Why was there a naked full-frontal blonde cavorting for the main character at the end? Was it his wife? Was it the granddaughter grown up. There seemed to be much sexual innuendo between the grandfather and the granddaughter; probably not to everyone's taste?
What was the significance of the rock in the road and its passage into the water after the main character had thrown it?
The photography was stunning but the long takes didn't add much for me.
