Thought provoking on core issue however extremely poor writing of Demi Moore's character

Enjoyed very strong acting and the build up of the courtroom drama.

The sexism the female character had to go through and how she made several mistakes and did not really contributing to the case moving forward are infuriating. She initially really wanted the case but very quickly seems to settle with the fact that Tom Cruise's character is a much better and well deserved lawyer than her on this case with very little evidence. During a key moment when they didn't have enough time and evidence to win the case, instead to put her passion into work she asked TC's character out for dinner...how much they dumb down her character feels very dated (it was released in 1992 after all).

The Connell also appears to be not that smart at all, and not sure why he didn't intervene much earlier in the process to create more blocks for the case given his power. The guy who killed himself - why can't he testify first so he can at least bring the truth out...
