Watchable but annoying villain

Warning: Spoilers
The side plot of the fundraiser really served no purpose other than to give Stella a reason to need help with the boys. Stella and Meredith should have been friends. They weren't really frenemies which could have been fun with two soap veterans, but it was more of Meredith throwing shade and Stella just going on (until the very end). It almost felt like Bree Williamson (Meredith) was in the movie as a favor/cameo because she didn't have much to do at all. Stella and Tanner made a great couple and played new parents well. Lifetime has difficulty making relationships believable in most movies. The little twins were cute.

Blake was a very unsympathetic villain and I got tired of her whining. For someone who took offense to being assumed to be a teen, she sure acted like one. Her role would have been more bearable had she done more to ingratiate herself. After hearing the exposition from her adopted mom, it's clear she was given as much help as they could give her on top of a nice life, but she didn't care and was just a spoiled, murderous brat. Oh and dark eye makeup does not make one scary. The end is frustrating because yet again, instead of being in jail for crimes, the villain is in a hospital. She killed three people? Hello???

I couldn't take Passions seriously and watched for maybe the first month of the show, but I like Lindsay Hartley's movies. There are a couple of movies called A Mother's Nightmare and A Father's Nightmare, where an adopted/"abandoned" child does much better at slithering in and attempting to destroy their birth parent's life. In this movie, Blake is pretty much off from the get go, so it's like well why didn't they see the flags? It's not like Stella/Tanner were desperate, they just needed maybe a few weeks of help. There's no excuse for not doing a deeper dive into the background of someone taking care of your kids. I really wish Lifetime would come up with a newer way to set up these plots.

Funnily enough, the movie is called The Wrong Nanny, but it's not part of The Wrong series.
