Well acted but let down by a a couple of small plot hole and oh hum makeup.

Warning: Spoilers
If you're reading this you probably enjoyed 'timecrimes' and other foreign time travel movies with small budgets but big ambitions.

This one is a bit different. It goes for some jump scares, and unlike 'the infinite man' or 'primer' you won't find 20 timelines intertwined. The time travel rules are of the 'primer' type.

This has the following outcome: anyone who is a time travel buff will understand the main plot within 15 minutes of the movie starting.

There are some nice touches, such as the amazing acting from the kids - what's with Latin American child actors? They seem naturally gifted. The photography is also clever and if it was done digitally, kudos for giving each timeline it's own 'vibe'.

Sadly it's a movie marred by the aforementioned flaws and a couple plot holes that really was disappointing considering how true to itself the rest of the movie was. The makeup was also poor on dulce, and I think they should have used a second actor like they did on everyone else.

Otherwise, it's a fun, scary and well acted fantasy film.

Stop reading now if you don't want to know the plot holes, and enjoy the film!

Plot hole 1: a version of Leopoldo from after Rodrigo's death (over 72h, probably a few month seemingly) randomly travels backward in time to same day and sees Rodrigo again; he tearfully embraces his brother. This has no purpose outside of creating the scene early in the movie where the younger brother is scared under the sheet and for him to obtain the pearl., then jump forward to be 'rescued' .

If the movie was consistent, only every 30 years should everybody jump back at 11:11:11 on the 11/11, once.

Plot hole 2: dulcet jumps twice that day, not once like everyone else.
