Another pairing of operatic singers macdonald and eddy. It's long, but it's good. It opens with the maypole dance, which i also had to do as a student in grade school. Marcia (macdonald) and nicolai (j. Barrymore) have both followed their dreams and worked hard to make something great of themselves. While dating paul (eddy), marcia and nicolai meet again, many years later, and play the roles they must play. Some fun co-stars... sig ruman (marx brothers..) and rafaela ottiano (grand hotel). When marcia's touring schedule introduces her to other worldly men, the apple cart is over-turned. Can things be worked out ? It's pretty good, but the story really didn't need to be so long.
